Holidays are suppose to be joyous and happy times. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving is a holiday that can be hard on our family - because our oldest is 3000 miles away. For the past two years Brittney has had to find friends who will take her in so she wouldn't be alone for the holiday. This year was to be no diffferent, until this past Saturday night when I found an airplane ticket that we could afford (well, kind of). Within 24 hours, Brittney was home!
While Brittney was at school this fall, she lost one hub cap on her car. Not a big deal, but annoying. As it turned out, we have an extra one here at home, but never got around to mailing it off to her. So, now that she is home we have been trying to figure out different ways for her to take the hub cap back on the plane to Utah.
The following are 9 Ways to Get a Hub Cap on the Airplane...
Wow, it sure is fun to have Brittney home!
How exciting to have ALL of your family at home for Thanksgiving...that truly is a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that excuse #5 would be the toughest for them to turn down - after all you can send it thought the metal detector, pat down or body scanner and it looks and feels the same. But after reading the #1 excuse - that's a winner!!
If not I guess you still have UPS...
Amy,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a huge blessing to have everyone home. My husband thinks I sent her home more for me than for her. Maybe, but either way it's a win-win situation!
As far as the #1 excuse...I had to cross my legs I was laughing so hard when she showed me the sign. :)
What a fantastic game!! I laughed my way all the way down to #1. I was laughing so hard that I had to share it with my family. Their votes are:
ReplyDeleteMy Brother- #8 She looks tough and I wouldn't mess with her
My Dad- #7 As a manager in Boston, he avoids messing with ethnic beliefs whenever possible.
My Cousin- #5 Where can I get me some that?
Me- #1 LOLOLOLOLOLOL
I wish this had a like button so that I could click it :D
ReplyDelete@Sarah,
ReplyDeleteIt is great to have a daughter that always makes me laugh! I love that your family voted - too funny! I too loved #1, but the "bling" was a close second.
@Sarah,
ReplyDeletePS. We ended up not sending the hub cap on the plane with her! She has told us to mail it with goodies during finals week :)
we are only 5ish hours away from her and if she can stand it she is welcome to come here...She will definately NOT go back to college hungry!! Amelia would love the whole "big sister" thing...
